It's the combination of water, seed, mulch, fertilizer & tackifier. The materials are mixed in a tank to the consistency of a heavy slurry. The slurry is then sprayed onto a prepared seed bed. The mulch helps retain moisture, speeding the seed germination process. The mulch also helps prevent seed and soil movement from water & wind. The tackifier is a gum or poly based product which helps bond all the ingredients together.

A grassy area of 25 square feet provides the oxygen for one person per day. Grass plants remove carbon dioxide from the air and produce oxygen in return.

Grass can keep you cooler! Street or sidewalk temperatures can reach 100 degrees, but the grass remains at a pleasant 75 degrees. This could mean that the front lawns on a block of eight houses perform the same cooling work as 70 tons of air-conditioning-enough to cool off 23 homes.

Grass controls erosion by knitting the soil together, trapping run off water and eliminating many of the problems caused by dust and mud. A healthy lawn absorbs rainfall 6 times more effectively than a wheat field.

In one years' time, the blades and roots in an acre of healthy grass absorb hundreds of pounds of pollutants from the air and rainwater. Among them are sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxide, hydrogen fluoride, nitrates and other gases blamed for acid rain and the greenhouse effect.
